It is pretty obvious sex or any sexual activity is an exercise. Yes, oral sex is a workout, too! However, as you get older, having sex while being a somewhat unhealthy person can be a bit of a drag. Intimacy changes over time. Your body requires much more energy to perform at its best, as well as its ability to last longer. Traditionally, we are taught that a healthy lifestyle increases the chances of a better sex life. (What is considered healthy to me, might not be the same for you.) This is true. I know, because I have experienced it firsthand. But that is just the surface of what is required. The proper exercises and food consumption are needed, and a substantial amount of sleep. Nowadays, we have sexual enhancement pills, potions, and poisons that claim to be the best at getting your libido going. Folks, do not be fooled by the hocus pocus that Big Pharma throws at you! All that garbage only lays a band-aid on the problem. Step out of the “if you got an ill, take a pill” mentality and expand your mind. If you want long-term positive effects in your sex life, please keep reading.

So what exactly enhances sexual play naturally without popping Viagra pills or watching an assortment of pornography? Let’s dive deeper.

FITNESS

That’s right people. As much as I hate to admit it and as much as your P.E. teacher made you hate exercising, it is the number one contributor to increasing your sexual health. Not only does it make you feel good after a great 45-minute cardio session, but over time with consistent training, you will be more flexible, resilient, sexier looking, and energetic. These are all key factors for exceptional sexual performance. Cardio should be done at least twice a week. The more you make your lymphatic and respiratory system work harder, the more energy you will have during sex and the more pleasurable it will feel. FOOD

Sorry folks. Pizza does not count as food. I know, I know. It breaks my heart too. I don’t know about you guys, but with all the information on the internet about what is healthier to eat and what is not healthy to eat has gotten my brain scrambled. Let me tell you something. After experimenting with every diet under the sun, I can easily say that no fad diet works. You have to listen to your body and listen close. We as humans are so lucky, but at the same time, are clueless. We have this amazing little universe inside our bodies. It cleanses itself, it detoxifies itself, it zaps all the foreign toxins by itself. How amazing! But you need to pay close attention to your digestive system. The problems many people have are due to improper digestion. Bloating, gas, acid reflux, and even stress, are all from poor digestion. Because of poor digestion, you do not feel as good mentally or physically. This leads to a less active libido and the pleasure sensations start to fade. Food is the number 2 contributor to sex. Food combinations can have a major effect on your overall health, figure, cognitive thinking, and unfortunately your sexual performance. When you combine certain foods, it causes a horrific scene in your gut. Just imagine what all the food looks like mushed up together on a plate…except it’s in your belly. That egg and cheese on a croissant does not look as fetching when it is broken down.

But there is good news for those that do not know what direction to take their taste buds. Let me point you to the lovely land of fruits, nuts, and vegetables. Yes, yes I already know you heard that these types of food are good for you. But did you know that they also help with sex? Coincidence?…..I think not! Yes this ironic fruit, shaped like a penis, is one of the best foods for sexual enhancement. Bananas are loaded with goodies. They help replenish low levels of glucose in the body and help regulate serotonin in the brain. The 411 on bananas:

But there are ways of ingesting this friendly veggie that make it taste good. Get a good hummus to dip it in or chop them up and throw them on top of a salad. You will not even know that it’s a carrot. When you are cheating on your diet, exercise, and sleep, you are cheating on yourself. Don’t be a cheater! Exercise + Good (abundantly rich in vitamins and minerals) Food + 8 hours of sleep = Greek God sex! Remember that!
